Two things seem to greatly influence a christian’s level of peace…
The first, is our perception of who God is. That is, His nature, His character and how we think He sees and responds to us.
The second is our understanding of who we are in Christ – and our connection with what has actually been accomplished on our behalf.
Both of these greatly influence our perception of our circumstances. Our perception of our circumstances ultimately drives our level of peace and the amount of hope that we carry.
